The design process starts with an initial meeting in the garden, and a chat to discuss general ideas, explore possibilities and establish your needs and preferences. This will also allow me to get broadly acquainted with the existing space. Following on from this consultation, my written report and quotation should ensure that we share the same end goal. The fee will be dependent on several factors including the size, location and complexity of the site.

I will undertake a survey and site analysis needed to create a scale drawing of the garden (its current layout and conditions, aspect, photography), leading to the translation of the ideas we have set out in the brief into a preliminary, hand-drawn design concept and mood board. This is intended to help you visualise the changes afoot. New suggestions or alterations are welcome at this stage.

When this is approved, I'll produce the masterplan - a refined and annotated Computer Aided Design version with specified plantlist.

If required I can source material and, naturally, plant out. I can then provide ongoing maintenance or, if you prefer, I can supply a bespoke maintenance schedule should you wish to look after the new garden yourself.
